First round of state examinations: the MENFP presents its assessment

 

On Friday, 3 July, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) took stock of the first round of State examinations in the academic year 2025-2026, held from 29 June to 2 July for candidates in the ninth basic year, centres for family education (CEF) and normal schools of teachers and kindergartens (ENIJE). According to the Director General of MENFP, Osny Jean Marie, approximately 97% of the registered candidates participated in the exams through the ten Departmental Directorates of Education.

The authorities reported that the reviews were conducted at the various review centres in the country with the support of the institutions concerned, including security and logistics arrangements. The MENFP also confirmed that the baccalaureate exams will be held from July 13 to 16.

A total of 186,748 candidates were expected in the ninth year, 2,572 in the ENIJE and 529 in the EFC. The Ministry also reported that hot meals were served to some of the candidates in some centres in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, Upper Central Plateau and Artibonite, as part of an initiative of the National School Canteen Program (NCP).
