The Committee recalls that this mobilisation is an initiative exclusively carried out by students, seeking to defend their right to quality clinical training and to internship conditions in accordance with academic requirements. No political organization, no interest group or external influence is behind this movement.
He also points out that, during the march to the Primature in order to officially hand over their claims to the authorities, a student was hit with a projectile by hand on the Bourdon road. The incident caused a panic movement among the demonstrators, without calling into question the peaceful nature of their mobilization.
For the Central Committee, this struggle is described as « manipulation » amounts to ignoring the real difficulties faced by students as well as the deep crisis that affects the Haitian public hospital system.
The Committee reiterates its determination to continue its efforts, in accordance with democratic principles, to obtain the temporary relocation of the HUEH and the conditions of training worthy of the country's future health professionals.
