FHF Secretary General Carlo Marcelin
Port-au-Prince, July 29, 2026.- In an intervention to the broadcast Panel Magik on Magik 9 this Wednesday, July 29, the Secretary General of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), Carlo Marcelin, reported on the various competitions of the national selections. He announced the preparation of several teams, including the U-14, the U-17 and the women's selection, while mentioning the process of finding Sébastien Migné's successor to lead the senior men's national selection.
The Haitian Football Federation continues its preparations for the next international deadlines. According to Carlo Marcelin, the various national selections are engaged in a busy schedule with several upcoming competitions.
Regarding the senior men's selection, the head of the FHF said that Haiti remains in the race for a qualification, despite a currently difficult position in his group. He believes that the next matches will be crucial for the Grenadiers, who must achieve positive results to keep their chances.

The Federation is also actively preparing youth teams. The Haitian selection of children under 14 is currently in preparation for an international competition scheduled for 24 September. The U-17 category is also a priority, with activities planned in the coming months.
Women's selection is not left behind. Carlo Marcelin announced that the Grenadières are continuing their preparations for the upcoming competitions, including the playoffs linked to the major international deadlines.
Recruitment process for a new breeder
When asked about the future of the position of male senior national team breeder after the departure of Sébastien Migné, Carlo Marcelin confirmed that the FHF has already launched a process of evaluation of the applications.
According to him, the Federation received more than 30 resumes of coaches interested in the position. Several interviews have already been conducted with technicians from different backgrounds.
The FHF also wants to integrate a Haitian coach into the next technical staff in order to promote the sharing of experience and the development of local skills.
« L’objectif est d’avoir un accompagnement qui permet aussi à nos entraîneurs haïtiens d’apprendre et d’évoluer aux côtés de spécialistes « , a expliqué Carlo Marcelin.
A budget adapted to ambitions
The Secretary General of the FHF also addressed the financial issue related to the recruitment of the future breeder. He said the Federation usually works with FIFA's accompaniment on certain aspects of contracts, while taking into account its financial capacity.
With the new resources generated by international performances and participations, however, the Federation intends to increase its investment to attract a coach able to accompany the ambitions of Haitian football.
Carlo Marcelin praised the work done by Sébastien Migné, in particular for contributing to Haiti's qualification path towards the World Cup, while indicating that the Federation is now looking for a profile that meets its new sporting objectives.
