The Haitian government proceeded, this Thursday, July 2, 2026, to the dismissal of the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), Hans Jacques Ludwig Joseph, after a Council of Ministers.
He was replaced by Goethie Varnelle Morency, appointed on the proposal of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé.
According to Radio Metronome, this decision comes in a climate of tension, following reservations expressed by the outgoing Director during a UN intervention on the decree on the High Court of Justice.
