Panama City, 21 June 2026.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Raina Forbin, is carrying out an official mission to Panama within the framework of the 31st Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) and the 56th Ordinary Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS). On the agenda: security, elections, economic revival and strengthening of international cooperation for Haiti.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Raina Forbin, represents Haiti in Panama at two important regional meetings: the 31st Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) and the 56th Ordinary Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS).
During this official mission, the Chief of Haitian Diplomacy will take part in the plenary sessions and ministerial work planned for these forums. It must also meet with several government officials and international partners during bilateral exchanges.
Through a press release released this June 21, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs informs that the discussions will focus on the priorities of the Haitian government, including the restoration of security, the preparation of the next elections, the economic revival and the strengthening of regional and international cooperation.
On the margins of the work, Ms. Forbin will consult with several Haitian partners in order to mobilize increased support for the efforts undertaken by the Haitian authorities to restore stability, consolidate public institutions and promote the return to constitutional order.
Through this participation, the government led by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé intends to reaffirm its commitment to multilateralism, dialogue and active diplomacy aimed at defending national interests and seeking solutions to the challenges facing the country.
