MPARE sounds the alarm on the failure of the transition

The Patriotic Renewal Movement (MPARE) expresses in a press note this Wednesday, July 1, 2026, its deep concern at the worsening of the crisis in Haiti and what it describes as the failure of the political transition. According to the movement, the government led by Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé did not achieve the objectives set, particularly in terms of security, national dialogue, constitutional reform and the organization of credible elections.

MPARE denounces the continued deterioration of the security and humanitarian situation, marked by the expansion of armed groups, institutional instability and the persistence of the social and economic crisis. He also criticizes the management of public resources and the lack of diplomatic response to major issues such as the announced end of the GST for Haitians.

With regard to the electoral process, the movement believes that the conditions are not in place for free and inclusive elections, evoking dysfunctions within the CEP and a climate of widespread insecurity. It calls on the active forces of the nation to engage without delay in an inclusive national dialogue in order to avoid the worsening of the crisis and to preserve the country's future.
