Delmas, February 3, 2026.- In Delmas 75, at the Hospital Sainte-Trinité, a team of Haitian doctors carried out, this week, with success, a complex surgical procedure on a 17-year-old girl, initially suspected of being pregnant, but suffering in reality from a large ovarian mass. The operation highlights the professionalism and competence of local medical personnel.
According to revelations made by the Doctor and influencer
Norbrun Kerry on Tuesday, 3 February, the surgical procedure was performed after thorough examinations having revealed that it was not a pregnancy but an ovarian mass requiring urgent management. The procedure was carried out in good conditions and was very successful in stabilizing the health of the young patient.
The medical team consisted of several specialists, including gynaecologists Dr. Demas and Dr. Bonhomme, surgeon Dr. Plaisimond Peterson, and anesthetists Dr. Florestal and Dr. Celestin. Nurses in the operating room also played a key role in the successful operation.
This surgical success clearly illustrates that, despite the difficulties of the Haitian health system, the country's doctors have the necessary skills to respond to complex medical cases, provided they benefit from the appropriate means. Additional evidence that Haitian medicine remains an essential pillar of service to the population.
