Port-au-Prince, 26 May 2026.- The Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) organized from 20 to 22 May 2026, in Delmas 60, a strategic training on the use of the Central Securities Depository (CTD) for the benefit of the ONA, the Group Le Garant S.A. and Natcash. Through this initiative, the central bank continues to strengthen the infrastructure of the Haitian financial market and prepares the integration of new actors into the operations on the good BRH and Treasury bills.

The Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) has taken a new step in the process of modernizing the national financial system by organizing, from 20 to 22 May 2026, a series of training sessions on the use of the Central Securities Depository (CDR).

Held at the institution's premises in Delmas 60, these sessions brought together representatives from the National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA), the Le Garant S.A. Group and Natcash, three non-bank financial institutions to play a more active role in the public securities market.

According to HRB, these institutions now have the capacity to act as own account holders and have expressed their willingness to invest in Central Bank bonds and Treasury bills.

Through this technical training, the BRH aims to broaden access to the financial market and promote better participation of institutional actors in the mechanisms of state financing and monetary regulation.

During the three days of work, several specialized modules were discussed, including access and user management of the CSD system, financial instruments, securities transactions, primary and OTC market transactions, and billing, taxation and reporting arrangements.

The central bank stresses that this initiative is part of a broader development dynamic of the Haitian financial market. In recent months, similar training has already been provided to managers of institutions regulated by the BRH and other stakeholders involved in this modernization project.

Through this approach, HRB confirms its commitment to enhancing the transparency, security and efficiency of financial securities transactions in Haiti.
