The Ministry of Tourism offered, Monday, July 6, an immersion in the historical heritage of Haiti to the Grenadiers, on the occasion of their return to the country after their remarkable participation in the World Cup 2026.
Organized on instructions from the Prime Minister, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, this visit led the players of the national selection to Milot and the Citadelle, emblematic monument of Haitian history and symbol of the resistance of the Haitian people.
Internationals were accompanied by Minister of Tourism Stéphanie Smith, as well as several national and local authorities. Beyond the discovery of the site, this initiative aimed to highlight the country's historical, cultural and tourist wealth.
Through this approach, the government wishes to make Grenadiers true ambassadors of the destination Haiti. Thanks to their visibility on the international stage, players are called upon to promote a positive image of the country and to encourage the valorisation of its exceptional heritage.
