Nineteen new Registration and Voting Centres (CIVs) entered service on August 6, 2026, bringing the total number of operational sites to 29. This extension aims to bring registration services closer to citizens and to increase access to the electoral process.
The Provisional Electoral Council announced the opening of 19 new Registration and Voting Centres in the West Department, in accordance with its plan for the gradual deployment of the voter registration system. The institution intends to facilitate the registration of citizens who meet the requirements of the electoral decree.
The new centres are distributed in the municipalities of Delmas, Pétion-Ville and Port-au-Prince.
In Delmas, citizens can now enrol in the Mixed College of Educators, the Logos College, the United Brothers Educational Centre, the Mixed College of New Seed, the Mixed College of Martinez Vargas, the Mixed Institute of George OHM, the Joint Institute of David Mondesir, the National School of Lelia Lherisson, the Classic Institution of the United Brothers, the Classic Training Centre of Saint James and the Joint College of Toussaint Louverture.
