Port-au-Prince, January 19, 2026.- The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) organized, on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Pétion-Ville, the 8th edition of its tribute ceremony. Ten Haitian personalities and institutions from key sectors were distinguished for their civic, social, humanitarian and professional commitment, in an initiative aimed at valuing positive references in the service of the country.

For the eighth consecutive year, the Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) held its traditional tribute ceremony at the premises of Le Ritz (Kinam 2) in Petion-Ville. The event brought together civil society actors, community leaders and guests around a common goal: to recognize and highlight Haitians and institutions who often work in the shadows of the nation's progress.

This edition honoured ten exceptional personalities and institutions in several categories:

Citizen engagement: Arnold Antonin (Celesti Corbanese) and Beatriz Elena Larghi Corbanese;

Education: Christophe Philippe Charles;

Public Safety: Massillon Jean, Mayor of Kenscoff;

Christian leaders: Magda Victor, Secretary General of the Haitian Biblical Society;

Civil society: Rosny Desroches, Executive Director of the Civil Society Initiative (CSI);

Best supporter: Tassiana Tassy;

Economy / Entrepreneurship : Charles Jumelle, Plaza Tanis-Jumelle, Brothers;

Health: Dr. Frantz Large;

Social and humanitarian activities: Willy Lima, Country Director of ADRA Haiti;

Community development: Wilzer Alexis, Social Movement for Artibonite (MOSOLA).

In their speeches, the recipients unanimously expressed their gratitude to FOLONHA, welcoming an initiative that, beyond distinctions, is a source of encouragement to continue their mission in the service of the community.

Magda Victor stressed that the recognition received is the result of collective work, highlighting the commitment and professionalism of the collaborators of the Haitian Biblical Society. She stressed the importance of union and common work as levers for social transformation.

For his part, Willy Lima, Director General of ADRA Haiti, presented this distinction as a tribute to collective humanitarian action. He recalled that the organization is now working in the ten departments of the country, with the most vulnerable communities facing poverty, natural disasters and food insecurity.

Speaker from Quebec, Jaquelin Lirisemond, president of the FOLONHA, praised the exemplary journey of the winners, stressing that this ceremony is primarily intended as a call to collective consciousness for the rehabilitation of Haiti. He urged recipients to remain models and sources of inspiration for youth.

For his part, Joël Lorquet, advisor and co-founder of the Foundation, recalled that this initiative aims to make visible key players in national development, too often ignored. He stressed the need to recognize the merits of these figures in their lifetime.
