Petion-ville, June 23, 2026.- On the occasion of World Public Service Day, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé reaffirmed the importance of the role of civil servants in the functioning of the Haitian state. At a ceremony organized by the Management and Human Resources Office (OMRH) at Hotel Montana, the Head of Government praised the dedication of public officials and renewed his commitment to the modernization of public administration. The event was also an opportunity to honour dozens of officials from several State institutions for their contribution to the service of the general interest.

In his speech, the General Coordinator of OMHR, Madelain Fils-Aimé, stressed the symbolic significance of the Prime Minister's presence at this ceremony. According to him, this participation reflects the government's willingness to fully assume its responsibilities in strengthening administrative governance and demonstrates recognition of the thousands of civil servants working in the country's various administrations.

He also highlighted the mobilization of more than seventy public institutions that had appointed deserving officials to be honoured on that day. For the head of the OMRH, this initiative aims to value the commitment of public officials and to promote a culture of excellence within the Haitian public service.

Madelain Son-Aimé also called for a renewal of public administration to meet the growing expectations of the population. According to him, the public service must engage in a transformational dynamic that promotes more efficiency, transparency, innovation and proximity to citizens.

The Head of Government also took advantage of this rostrum to commend the efforts of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd) and the Gangs Repression Force (FRG) in the fight against insecurity. He reiterated his administration's determination to create favourable conditions for the next general elections, which were seen as an essential step towards strengthening democracy and institutional stability in the country.
