Haiti: More than 8,000 candidates for the vocational qualification test

There are 8,338 candidates for the National Vocational Training Institute (INFP) examinations for technical and vocational centres this year. These evaluations, which range from 6 to 10 July 2026 in the provincial regions and from 20 to 31 July in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, cover several training courses across the country.

Divided between the commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors, hotels and clothing, the participants aim to obtain a recognised certification, ranging from the Professional Skills Certificate (CAP) to the Professional Skills Patent (BAP) or Technical Diploma (DT). The West Department alone has 2,473 candidates engaged in this session.

Through this new evaluation phase, the MENFP focuses on vocational training as a strategic tool to prepare a skilled workforce, promote the integration of young people and support the country's economic development. A total of 89 technical and vocational training centres participate in these examinations nationwide.
