Mackenson Dorilas, known as « Prophet Marckenson « , is subject to new complaints in an alleged fraud involving a travel agency. Several people claim to have paid large sums in US dollars for promises of departure abroad that have never been honoured. Arrested on 8 July 2026 by the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), he is under judicial investigation.
Following his arrest, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Port-au-Prince had granted him 48 hours in order to reach agreement with the complainants and to produce the contracts and the supporting documents attesting to his involvement as promoter of the travel agency concerned.
According to the government commissioner at the Port-au-Prince Court of First Instance, Jean Fritz Patterson Dorval, more than twelve new complaints were registered in just two hours. The injury is now claimed at more than US$320,000. Considering that the case is beyond the competence of the prosecution, the authorities transferred the case to the investigating firm for further investigation.
