Port-au-Prince, July 8, 2026.- More afraid than bad this Wednesday 8 July in Haiti. Flight 6502 of the company Zed Airlines, which was connecting Cap-Haitien to Port-au-Prince, was forced to make a forced landing in the Lafito area around 11 AM. Fortunately, there are no casualties among the three occupants of the aircraft.
The alert was given late in the morning. The aircraft concerned, a Cessna 402B registered HI-1056, carried two passengers and one pilot on board. For reasons that remain to be determined, the pilot had to deviate from his initial course to land the aircraft in an emergency.
Thanks to the cold blood of the crew, the three people leave safely. In an official statement, Zed Airlines S.A. management indicated that the occupants were immediately taken over and are currently receiving all necessary assistance and support.
The airline recalled that the safety of its passengers and operations remained its « absolute priority ». An in-depth assessment is already under way, carried out jointly by the aeronautical authorities and the company's technical team, in order to shed light on the exact circumstances of this incident. Zed Airlines is committed to providing further updates as soon as verified information becomes available.
