On Monday, 17 August 2026, with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) organized a workshop on the preparation of the project. «The Genies of Good Governance ». The initiative places youth education at the heart of an approach to preventing corruption and promoting the principles of good governance.
The project was officially presented on 17 March during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the IGF and is aimed at students of the New Secondary School. It should enable them to better understand the functioning of public administration, the role of oversight mechanisms and the importance of ethics, integrity and citizen engagement.
School officials, teachers and students participated in the discussions, with representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), IGF and UNODC. The discussions focused on the conditions for the implementation of the project in schools and the approaches to raise awareness among young people of issues related to integrity in public management.
