Port-au-Prince, January 27, 2026. -Under the leadership of Ronald Bazile, the National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA) is taking a significant turn in the management of its human resources. Its Career Development Plan (CDP) focuses on competence, equity and continuous training to modernize the institution and restore employee confidence.
Designed to break with favouritism and nepotism, the PDC places merit and competence at the centre of professional development, corrects internal injustices by identifying employees left behind and aligns promotions with objective performance and qualification criteria, informs the manager. A Career Management and Training Unit monitors career paths, supervises promotions and offers adapted continuing training programmes.
LONA informed that on 27 January, the plan was already operational: a first group of employees had received letters of promotion, a second group would be notified by the end of the month, and scholarship or academic adjustment files were progressing. At the same time, the Training Unit launched a national awareness tour, which began in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince and was planned in the Great North and the Great South before the start of the training sessions.
For Ronald Bazile, the PDC is a strategic lever to strengthen performance, motivate staff and improve service quality. With this plan, the ONA sends a clear signal: the reform goes beyond words and transforms the institution's administrative culture in a sustainable way.
