The Haitian medical mission arrived in Venezuela with 5.5 tons of relief equipment

A Haitian medical mission of 31 medical specialists arrived on Wednesday, July 8, in Caracas with 5.5 tons of medical equipment and supplies to support operations to support the populations affected by the recent earthquakes, according to a communiqué of the Haitian Government.

This mission comes in a context of humanitarian response to the consequences of the upheavals that have struck Venezuela. Haitian doctors are called upon to support local teams in the care of victims, while the equipment delivered must help build the capacity of the health structures mobilized.

The Haitian authorities present this initiative as a humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. They also welcomed the commitment of health professionals involved in this mission.
