Haiti Climate launches its first Summer University dedicated to leadership, climate and entrepreneurship

 

Delmas, July 21, 2026.- Haiti Climate organizes the first edition of its Summer University in order to strengthen the skills of young people and stimulate the emergence of innovative solutions to the country's climate, social and economic challenges. For students, academics and professionals, this initiative will focus on leadership, project management, sustainable development and entrepreneurship.

From 27 July to 1 August 2026, at the Complexe Lafayette in Delmas 71, the participants will take an intensive training organized around the theme « Prann, Kreye. Aji. « . The programme will focus on a participatory approach, focusing on teamwork and problem solving.

Four main modules will be proposed: leadership and communication, project management and citizenship, climate, risk and sustainable development, as well as entrepreneurship, innovation and digital. The aim is to get participants to identify the needs of their communities, develop structured projects and design solutions adapted to local realities.

For Patrick Saint-Pré, co-founder and general coordinator of Haiti Climate, this Summer University aims to help young people pass « from idea to action « Beyond the knowledge on climate change and vulnerabilities in Haiti, the training aims to develop practical skills in communication, project management, collaborative work and responsible use of digital tools.

Admission will be upon application, with a limited number of places. Interested persons may submit their files until 26 July 2026, in accordance with the arrangements laid down by the organisers.

Through this first summer University, Haiti Climate wishes to contribute to the emergence of a new generation of leaders capable of designing and implementing initiatives responding to climate and sustainable development issues in Haiti.
