Petion-Ville, July 12, 2035.- The mayor of Kenskoff, Massillon Jean, sounds alarmed at the insecurity in his commune, especially the night attacks by heavily armed gangs. In an interview granted to Radio Magic 9, Friday, July 11, he calls on the Haitian State to equip the National Police of Haiti (PNH) with technological equipment adapted to night operations, such as glasses and infrared drones. It also deplores the inaction of the Kenyan contingent, which is still on the ground.

The town of Kenskoff, long known for its peaceful climate and flourishing agriculture, is now on its knees in the face of armed violence. For about six months, gangs have imposed their laws on the population: murders, robberies, rapes, destruction of homes and livelihoods are increasing. According to Mayor Massillon Jean, these abuses occur mainly at night, which offers a clear advantage to criminals.

According to him, there is a question: would these gangs already have this type of equipment? The doubt is high, but the results on the ground speak for themselves.

The night of Friday 11 to Saturday 12 July was another demonstration of the brutality of these gangs. Heavy-armed individuals set fire to the Furcy police station, a neighbourhood of Kenskoff, and cut off the road leading to the area to prevent the arrival of police reinforcements. This new assault shows the urgency of strengthening the response capabilities of the HNP.

Pending a concrete response from the central authorities, the people of Kenskoff live in fear and uncertainty. The mayor's cry is that of an abandoned commune, which requires immediate actions to stop the enticement in chaos.
