Several public transport drivers blocked, on 06 April 2026, the Delmas motorway, near Delmas 32 until Delmas 48. They forced some drivers to take the passengers down and place their vehicles in the middle of the road.
According to these protesters, the price of a gallon of fuel cannot exceed the minimum wage. They denounce a let go of the authorities and invite the population to join them in order to force the government to reverse this increase deemed exorbitant.
On the other hand, they recognize that fuel growth is a global phenomenon. However, they feel that the government cannot impose such a burden on them.
In the face of this situation, they demand a subsidy of fuel by the State and prevent the continuation of movements only if the State does not adjust the tariffs. They announce that they will continue to block the main roads in order to demand respect for their rights.
