Mr. Guire Ricardo Dossous
Jacmel, July 11, 2025 – Guire Ricardo Dossous, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics of the UNDH/UDERS of Jacmel, has brilliantly supported his doctoral thesis in management sciences at the University Paris Panthéon-Assas. A specialist in management, he intends to continue to combine research, teaching and consulting at the service of the development of Haiti.
Originally from Marbial, a district of the municipality of Jacmel, Dossous imposed himself as a rising figure of the Haitian intelligentsia. In addition to his responsibilities at the UNDH, he teaches at the South East Public University and directs « Accex Consulting « , a firm specialized in supporting organisations in reform and managerial innovation.
His thesis, focusing on the degradation of the National Park La Visite, highlights the links between the ecological collapse of the site and local social and territorial dynamics. « It's not just a park that's in extinction, it's a whole ecosystem threatened. « he said, stressing the importance of an interdisciplinary and contextualised approach to environmental management.
Dossous built his university career around management, an area he discovered in Jacmel before pursuing an MBA, then a Master in Public Administration at Aix-Marseille University. In 2021, he joined Pantheon-Assas to deepen his training in research. « Producing rigorous and relevant knowledge is a demanding but necessary goal « , he explains.
Passionate about the transmission of knowledge, he felt that the researcher's work should not be limited to publication. « It is not enough to produce quality work. They must also be interesting and useful. « , he insists, evoking the challenges faced by Haitian researchers: lack of resources, scarcity of reliable data, few support structures.
Dossous intends to remain faithful to his primary vocation: to serve. Through teaching, applied research and advice, it wishes to continue to contribute to the transformation of management practices in a country in search of durable solutions. « I will remain available to work for the general interest, » It guarantees.
