Port-au-Prince, June 15, 2026.- Guest of the show Panel Magik this Monday, June 15th on Magik 9, Patrice Millet traced his course of more than 35 years in football and the actions of his football school in Cité Soleil. The trainer highlighted his commitment to young people, the training of several Haitian internationals, as well as the challenges of insecurity and lack of resources in one of the country's most vulnerable neighbourhoods.
Patrice Millet, founder of a football school in Cité Soleil, claimed to have devoted more than three decades to mentoring young people through sport. During his visit to the show Panel Magik, he recalled that his commitment was born from his passion for football and his willingness to contribute to the development of Haiti.
The trainer referred in particular to the course of several players who attended his school from an early age. Among them are the Haitian international Dany Jean, whom he said to have accompanied from childhood to adolescence, as well as Leverton Pierre, also passed through his training structure.
According to Patrice Millet, his school is not limited to learning football. It also aims to convey civic values such as discipline, solidarity, respect and teamwork. « Every Haitian must make a contribution to the country in its field « , he said.
The former educator also stressed that he had participated in the training of several other talents, including in women's football, while stressing the importance of mentoring young people from an early age in order to offer them positive prospects.
When asked about the difficulties encountered over the past 35 years, Patrice Millet described the obstacles he faced at Cité Soleil, including security problems, social prejudices and lack of financial resources. Despite these constraints, he claims to have continued his mission with the support of relatives and his determination to help the children of the neighbourhood.
For him, sport remains a powerful social transformation tool capable of keeping young people away from violence and opening up new opportunities.
At the end of the interview, Patrice Millet said he was proud of the course of many former students who today represent Haiti on the national and international scene, considering that their success is the greatest reward of his commitment.
